The Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) organized a training session focused on battery technologies and characteristics for energy storage, aimed at technical personnel from the Dominican electricity sector. The event was held at the MEM headquarters, coordinated by the Vice Ministry of Electrical Energy, led by Ricardo Guerrero.
As the official CATL representative in the Dominican Republic, SITRAX facilitated the participation of CATL engineers in this important event, reaffirming our commitment to the development of the national energy sector.
CATL as lead presenter
Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), the global leader in lithium battery technology, served as the main presenter at the workshop. CATL engineers presented in detail:
- Components and architecture of battery energy storage systems
- Efficiency levels and performance in energy backup applications
- Safety protocols and standards for BESS systems
- Advanced technical aspects not available in commercial catalogs

A high-level technical exchange
The main objective of the workshop was to foster technical exchange between Dominican electricity sector specialists and CATL engineers, delving into technical aspects that go beyond publicly available commercial information.
